SEME donates 480 French books to KM centre

Pondicherry, July 24 (UNI) Sarte Etudes Musique Estoir (SEME), a French social organisation has donated about 480 French books to the Kanchi Maamunivar, Post Graduate Centre here today.

Education Secretary, B V Selvaraj told a press conference that Mr Brigitte Peltier, head of the SEME had sent a six-member scout team from France to Pondicherry who handed over the books. The scounts comprising five girls and one boy, all varsity students led by Ms Pauline Victor had taken up some social work in Pondicherry. They visited some schools and taught French students and whitewashed the compound wall of the school.

Mr Selvaraj said the library of the K M PG centre which was hitherto functioning along with the Tagore Arts college library would be seperated and expanded.
