Rupee weakens by 14 paise, closes at Rs 46.91/92/USD

Mumbai, July 24 (UNI) Indian Rupee today weakened by 14 paise at Rs 46.91/92 per US Dollar compared to the previous close of Rs 46.77 per US Dollar, said a trader in the money market.

Rupee earlier opened at Rs 46.80/82 per US Dollar and in the mid- morning session traded at 46.91/92/US Dollar.

RBI today fixed the Reference Rate at Rs 46.93/US Dollar.

The six month forward premia was up at 1.01 per cent and the one year forward premia was also up at 1.16 per cent.

Rupee however, was down against other currencies, aginst euro it was at Rs 59.23 (59.20), against pound sterling it was down at Rs 86.90 (86.70), and against yen it was up at Rs 40.20 (40.30).
