Rosewood logs worth Rs 1.7 lakh seized

Madikeri, Karnataka, July 24 (UNI) The Forest department authorities here have seized rosewood logs, worth Rs 1.7 lakh, when it was being smuggled in two vehicles near Kanive here and arrested three persons in this connection.

The logs were being smuggled in a mini lorry and a van to Mysore.

Authorities said the arrested were John Paul, Mohammed Ali and Prasad.

During interrogation, the trio revealed that they had taken the logs from an estate at Hudikeri.
