Rice arrives in Beirut at start of West Asia tour

BEIRUT, July 24 (Reuters) US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice flew to Beirut today at the start of a trip to calm violence in West Asia, Lebanese political sources said.

They said she would shortly meet Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora. There was no immediate comment from the US embassy or Siniora's office.
