Relay fast enters 5th day; lawyers resort to rasta roko
Dharwad, July 24 (UNI) The relay fast by some members of the Dharwad Bar Association, in protest against the inordinate delay in starting the civil works on the proposed circuit bench of the Karnataka High Court at WALMI near here, continued for the fifth day today.
Other members, led by Bar Deputy President B H Ghodse, staged a rasta roko and shouted slogans against the delay.
The lawyers refused to give up their strike, despite Home Minister M P Prakash and Revenue Minister Jagadish Shettar assuring that works would begin in a couple of days, saying that they would withdraw their agitation only after the works commenced.
