Bangalore, July 24 (UNI) Team India players, selected for the coming tri-series in Sri Lanka, have started arriving for a week-long fitness camp at the National Cricket Association here, beginning tomorrow.

Off spinner Suresh Raina, who arrived last night, joined medium pacer Irfan Pathan, who had been having net practice for the last three days. The other players were expected to arrive either tonight or tomorrow morning. All the players would assemble tomorrow and the full-fledged camp would begin from July 26.

Team India players, whose morale was high after winning the test series against West Indies during their last tour abroad, would undergo two phases of training -- fitness camp from July 25 to July 31 and Skill Camp from August five till the team leaves for Colombo on August 10 for the tri-series, with South Africa being the third team.

Raina and Pathan had net practice with team bio-mechanist and Assistant Coach Ian Fraser and Trainer Gregory King.

Leaving no stone unturned to ensure the complete physical fitness of the players, the authorities have proposed to include mountaineering and rock climbing in the camp, subject to approval by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). If the proposal gets the Board's nod, the players would be involved in the adventure sports for three days on the outskirts of the city, besides regular exercise for the last four days at NCA.

Team Coach Greg Chappell, who is away in the US, was expected to arrive only a couple of days before the team's departure for Colombo.
