Panel on methodology to test students to submit report by July

New Delhi, July 24 (UNI) The Committee constituted in May to develop methodology to test students at all stages of school education on a sample basis will submit its report by July 31.

Giving this information in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today, Minister of State for Human Resource Development D Purandeswari said the committee has been asked to make recommendations on the following points: The manner in which the testing of school children on sample basis should be structured, that is in terms of levels at which, and periodicity with which testing should be done.

The organisation which should be entrusted with the task, and the resources which it would need.

The manner in which the task should be carried out so that the reliable data is generated and disseminated in a timely manner and lead to improvement of school education.

The Director, NCERT, is the chairman of the committee.
