One dies, other injured in wall collapse

Mumbai, July 24: A seven-year-old-boy died and another child was severely injured when a balcony's slab at a chawl fell on them at Dr P D road at Worli in south central Mumbai last evening.

The mishap occurred at 2000 hrs yesterday, seriously injuring Mohammed Amir Shafi (7) and Mohammed Siddique (5).

Both of them were rushed to Potdar Hospital, where doctors declared Shafi dead before admission, while Mohammed Siddique has been shifted to KEM hospital for further treatement.

The police have registered a case of accidental death and further investigations are on, police said.
