No rains in city

Kolkata, July 24 (UNI) There has been no rains in the city since the last three days and has left the Kolkatans asking for more rains.

However, the met official said monsoon was very active in the state and added that some coastal parts were likely to receive heavy rains.

As of yesterday no rainfall was recorded in the city and the temperatures soared to 32 degree celsius and a minimum of 29 degree celsius.

However, the relative humidity has been hovering at 99 per cent since the last few weeks causing a lot of discomfort, met officials said.
