Mongoose hair seized in raids on factories, 5 arrested

New Delhi, July 24 (UNI) Police today seized a huge quantity of mongoose hair in raids at five factories in Jehangirpuri area and arrested five people in this connection.

Thousands of brushes made from the hair of mongoose, killing of which is banned under the Wildlife Act 1972, were also seized in the raids, according to the People For Animals with whose help the raids were conducted.

The accused later told the police, during interrogation, that they were conducting this business with the assistance of a Wildlife Inspector.
