Mineral production in June higher

New Delhi, July 24 (UNI) The total value of mineral production covering metalliferrous and industrial minerals, excluding fuel, minor and atomic minerals was higher in June, 2006 compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.

According to data released by the Mines Ministry here today, minerals that was produced in June this year was estimated at Rs 872 crore as against Rs 733 crore for June, 2005. The total value of these minerals in May, 2006 was estimated at Rs 1349 crore. UNI BKS DKS DS1635
