Man beats wife to death

New Delhi, July 24 (UNI) A 35-year-old woman was allegedly beaten to death by her husband in Shalimar Bagh area of North-West Delhi.

Police later arrested her husband Kailash Goel, who deals in fruit at Azadpur Mandi, after his 10-year-old daughter Neha told the police that her mother Varsha died as she had been beaten up by her father, according to a senior police official.

The couple used to have frequent fights and yesterday Kailash reportedly beat her up badly, allegedly in a drunken state, after they had a heated argument.

The victim was found unconscious near the bathroom of her home in Maurya Enclave in Pitampura under Shalimar Bagh police station. She was rushed to Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital where she was declared brought dead.

Married in 1992, the couple also have a son.
