Srinagar, July 24 (UNI) The division bench of Jammu and Kashmir high court will hear the bail revision application of a senior Indian Administrative Officer (IAS) officer Iqbal Khanday, one accused in sex racket.

The division bench is already monitoring the CBI investigations into the case in which two former ministers and sitting MLAs, senior BSF and police officers and a former Additional Advocate general are involved.

However, the bench could not take up the sex racket case today and listed it for tomorrow as one of the judge was not present.

The single bench judge Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir tranferred the bail revision application of Khanday to the Division Bench.

Khanday had filed the application in the court of Justice Mir after his bail application was rejected by Chief Judicial Magistrate, saying that his release would have damaging effect on the investigation in the case.

The division bench, comprising Justice Bashir Ahmad Kirmani and Justice Hakim Imtiyaz, monitoring the CBI investigation in the sex racket, listed the case for tomorrow as one of the judges was not available today due to some official engagements.

A Sessions court here started the trial on July 22, which procedings held in-camera.

The Chief Judicial Magistrate will hear the bail applications of former Jammu and Kashmir minister and sitting legislator Raman Mattoo and a hotel owner involved in the sex racket tomorrow.

Besides Mir, Mattoo and Khanday, the Central Bureau of Invstigation (CBI) has arrested former Additional Advocate General Anil Sethi, Jammu and Kashmir Police Counter-Insurgency Kashmir (CIK) wing DSP Mohammad Yousuf Mir and Naaz Hotel manager Riyaz Kawa.
