Janardhana Reddy consulting legal experts
Bellary (Karnataka), Jul 24: BJP MLC G Janardhana Reddy, who kicked up a political storm in Karnataka by accusing Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy of taking Rs 150 crore bribe from the mining lobby in the district, is consulting legal experts to file defamation cases against the Chief Minister and two of his Cabinet colleagues.
According to sources close to him, Mr Reddy was eliciting legal opinion whether to file the cases against the Chief Minister, Home Minister M P Prakash and Forests Minister C Chennigappa in Bellary or Bangalore.
The sources said Mr Reddy was particular that the case be handed over to the CBI as the issue related to bribery and corruption, despite reiterating that he had great regards for the judicial machinery.
Mr Reddy, suspended from the BJP for repeating his allegations in the Legislative Council without the prior permission of the party, had not received any show cause notice from the State BJP and would respond to it once he received the notice, the sources said.
