Hoax bomb calls cause tension in 2 schools, college in B'lore
Bangalore, July 24 (UNI) The threat calls received by two schools and a college in the city that bombs will go off in their premises, turned out to be a hoax.
Tension grippedvat the Goodwill Convent School, Saint Anne School and M S Ramaiah Dental College after the Principals of these institutions received anonymous phone calls threatening that bombs had been planted in their premises. They evacuated the institutions immediately and informed the police.
A thorough search by the bomb disposal squads yielded no explosives.
Meanwhile, the police have arrested a student of the Mahaveer Jain College on the charge of sending a SMS, saying that a bomb had been planted in a shopping mall in the city yesterday.
Police said Vikas Bohra, a BCom student, during interrogation revealed that he had sent the SMS for fun.
