New Delhi, July 24 (UNI) Helios and Matheson today posted 71 per cent increase in its net profit to Rs 13.11 crore in the first financial quarter of 2006-07 ended June 30, 2006, as against Rs 7.66 crore during the same period last year.

The company registered 79 per cent increase in its total income at Rs 88.93 crore for the first quarter.

In addition, earnings per share (annualised) of the company for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 was Rs 26.20.
