Hairdresser's claim that ''terrorist came to saloon'' bogus: Police

Akola, July 24 (UNI) A hairdresser from Buldhana district has confessed to the police that his claim of a terrorist visiting his salon, was bogus and that he had only said so to claim the prize money of Rs 25 lakh.

After news of Anil Krishna Mahale, a hairdresser from Fashion Salon in Motala village in adjoining Buldhana district's claim appeared in the Press, the Buldhana police took him into custody for interrogation to check its veracity.

During interrogation, that lasted for nearly four hours, he confessed before the District Suprintendent of Police Mr Krishna Prakash that he made such claim just to get money to become rich overnight and to get publicity in press. police said.

Mahale originally hails from Takli village and has studied upto class X. Using his skill to draw sketches of any person--he studied civil draftsman too from ITI-- he made the sketch of the terrorist as earlier published in Mumbai, police added.

This is the second incident of a person making bogus claim to rake in the moolah declared by the state government. Earlier, a couple from Mumbai posing as the son of a deceased person in the Mumbai blasts, came forward to claim his body only for the sake of compensation amount. Their falsehood came to light after the original heir appeared to take his father's body.
