Srinagar, July 24 (UNI) Detained sex racket case accused former Jammu and Kashmir minister and sitting legislator Ghulam Ahmad Mir today said the killing of a Congress leader in south Kashmir was a deep- rooted conspiracy to weaken the party.

In a censored statement through Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Central Jail where he is detained in connection with the sex racket case, Mir condemned the killing of Fateh Mohammad Dar by militants at Dooru yesterday.

Demanding a judicial probe into the killing of Dar, he said, the Congress leaders were being targeted in south Kashmir to weaken the party in the Dooru constituency represented by him in the assembly.
