Emani,reaches a turnover of Rs 68.1 crore
Kolkata, Jul 24 (UNI) Emami group of companies, India's oldest and leading players in Indian Personal and Health Care Industry, has marked a growth of 38 per cent in turnover and 11 per cent in profit this fiscal ending June 30.
Emami was started by R S Agarwal and R S Goenka in 1974 and since then it never looked back.
Started with a range of cosmetic products,Emami went on to launch products from cosmetics,healthcare and real estates.
The turnover of the group reached to Rs 68.1 crores compared to the last year's Rs 49.5 crores, according to a company release.
With international business growth at 45 per cent the group carved a niche for itself in several European, African, CIS and SAARC countries due to its dominance in ayurvedic content in the products like Emita range, Ayucare range and Gold range.
The company has not only catered to the need of female beauty products but also is the first to launch "Fair and Handsome" exclusive fairness cream for men, the release added.
Apart from this the wide range of product includes Boroplus antiseptic cream, lotion, powder,Navaratna oil that has increased its market share upto 50 per cent,baby care product, cough syrups like Sardi Ja and Sona Chandi Chyawanprash,Fast Relief and many more.
"We have launched some products like Memo Plus,a memory booster for growing children and we basically concentrate on ayurvedic products," said Chairman R S Agarwal.
