Srinagar, July 24 (UNI) The activists of Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) today took to streets in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir in protest against the Israeli attacks on Lebanon and Palestine.

Led by its chief Asiya Andrabi, veiled women marched through different streets raising anti United States, Israel and India slogans.

The demonstrators burn US and Israeli flags at Regal chowk after marching through Residency road, Moulana Azad road, Ghanta Ghar (Clock Tower), and Partap Park.

They alleged that hundreds of innocents, including women and children, are being killed daily in Israeli attacks and the world community ''remains unmoved.'' They also condemned the ''anti-Muslim policies of western countries.'' They later dispersed peacefully, official sources said.

On Saturday a general strike was observed in the Kashmir valley in protest against the Israeli attacks on Lebanon and Palestine.
