Consumer court issues notices to bus owner
New Delhi, July 24 (UNI) The Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum (East) has issued notices to the owner of a chartered bus for misbehaving with and forcing a commuter to get down the bus in heavy rain.
Complainant, KJ Chhibber, an IIFT (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade) executive, boarded a chartered bus at Mayur Vihar to go to his office on March 14.
However, Vijay Nautiyal, a relative of the bus owner spoke loud he should immediately get down because he had boarded another bus the previous day.
Even as it was raining, Vijay continued to humiliate and threaten to assault him infront of the bus commuters, forcing him to get down the bus at Noida More.
The complainant has sought Rs 12,000 for compensation, and had moved the court at Karkadooma.
The district consumer disputes redressal forum will hear the reply of the bus owner on August 28.
