Condolence meeting held for Satish Tripathi

New Delhi, July 24 (UNI) The Delhi Union of Journalists (DUJ) paid tributes to senior journalist Satish Tripathi, who died on Saturday.

The condolence meeting remembered Satish Tripathi, who was also the vice president of the Delhi Union of Journalists, as a warm person ''who was always ready to participate in any struggle for workers.'' Minute-long silence was observed in memory of Satish Tripathi.

Among those, who participated in the meeting included Indian Journalists' union president Suresh Akhouri, DUJ president S K Pande and All India Newspapers Employees' Federation Vice President Santosh Kumar.

Satish Tripathi was working with Hindi daily 'Nav Bharat Times' and he died in an accident on Saturday afternoon. He was 52.

He was hit by Poorva Express at Chandra Nagar level crossing in Ghaziabad near hear. He died on the spot.

Satish Tripathi is survived by his wife, a son and daughter.
