Bomb call proves hoax
Chennai, July 24 (UNI) Tension prevailed at a private nursing home here today for more than two hours following an anonymous call saying bombs planted there could go off at any moment.
The call was received at the police control room at around 1000 hrs and immediately the police rushed to the hospital located at Royapettah with bomb disposal squads and searched the entire premises till 1245 hrs.
However, the call proved to be hoax and the patients and staff heaved a sigh of relief.
Since the call was made from local public call office (PCO), it would be very difficult to identify the culprit, police said.
