Aventis Pharma posts 28.36% hike in Q2 net profit

New Delhi, July 24 (UNI) Aventis Pharma today reported a 28.36 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 43.9 crore for the second quarter ended June 30, 2006, as compared to Rs 34.2 crore for the corresponding period a year ago.

The firm's total income went up by 5 per cent at Rs 231.8 crore for Q2FY07 from Rs 220.4 crore for Q2FY06.

The Board of Directors has declared an interim dividend of Rs 3.50 per equity share of Rs 10, a company statement said.
