Bangalore, July 24 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Monsoon was weak over South Interior Karnataka.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka; at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka. Ankola recorded heavy rainfall of 7 cms.

Other chief rainfall amounts (cm): Kadra 6; Gerusoppa 5; Kollur, Sirsi, Karwar 4 each; Siddapura, Joida, Honavar, Khanapur, Linganamakki 3 each; Bantwal, Mani, Kumta, Yellapura, Sankeshwar, Belgaum, Kammardi, Hosanagar 2 each; Belthangadi, Subramanya, Karkala, Kundapur, Mundagod, Haliyal, Bailhongal, Belawadi, Chincholi, Dharwad, Madikeri, Humchadakatte, Soraba 1 each.

Forecast valid until Wednesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over Interior Karnataka.

Light to moderate rain likely to occur at many places over Belgaum, Dharwad districts of North Interior Karnataka and ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over remaining districts of North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.
