558 pilgrims leave for Amarnath shrine

Jammu, July 24 (UNI) A fresh batch of 558 pilgrims today left for darshan of 'ice shivlingam' at holy cave shrine in the Himalayas.

Official sources told UNI that the batch, comprising 327 men, 67 women, ten children and 154 sadhus, amidst chanting religious hymns and slogans, was given a warm flag off in the morning.

The sources said the pilgrims left in the fleet of 18 vehicles, including four heavy and six light vehicles, under tight security arrangements.
