40 injured in Kashmir clash, about 15 detained
Srinagar, July 24 (UNI) About 40 people, including a dozen police personnel, were injured when police fired in the air, burst teargass shells and resorted to repeated lathicharge to disperse a strong mob, inculding women and children at Arpora, about 10 km from here today.
Police also took into custody about 15 demonstrators who were demanding immediate repair of roads in their area.
Similar demonstrations were also held on the same issue at Balhama, Zafran colony and Sampora where people alleged that no repair work of roads had been taken during the past 24 hours.
