14 Telgi's CDs, 164 confessional statements to be opened tomorrow
Pune, July 24 (UNI) Special Judge Chitra K Bhedi today ordered 14 CDs, containing taped conversations of prime accused Abdul Karim Telgi and others arrested in connection with the multi-crore fake stamp paper scam and 164 sealed confessional statments of other accused to be opened tomorrow morning in the court here.
Special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) judge directed all the lawyers representing various accused and all the accused who do not have lawyers, to be present in court for signing and giving their consent at 1030 hrs.
The court official will open the CDs tomorrow as per the orders issued by Justice R S Mohite of the Bombay High Court on July 20.
Justice Bedi gave the orders today but fixed the date for tomorrow in compliance with Bombay High Court's orders. City Police Commissioner has been asked to make security arrangement for tomorrow.
