Youth dies of cardiac arrest enroute to police station

Palakkad, July 23 (UNI) A 28-year-old youth died of cardiac arrest while he was being taken in a police jeep to the station here today.

Police said Parameswaran from Mangalam dam, was arrested in connection with a robbery yesterday.

The accused confessed to the police that he had robbed the money and kept it in his house.

Parameswaran collapsed in the jeep, while he was being taken back to the police station, after the police recovered the money from his house.

Though the Police rushed him to the Alathur General Hospital, the doctor, who attended Parameswaran said that he died of cardiac arrest, police added.
