Two minors arrested for hoax bomb call in Satyam theatre

New Delhi, July 23 (UNI) Police arrested two boys from Ranjit Nagar area of West Delhi for making a hoax call of a bomb being kept in the closeby 'Satyam' theatre.

The boys, Naeem (14) and Mohammad Fahim (15), were arrested after police traced the call to a local PCO in Ranjit Nagar soon, according to a senior police official.

The call was declared a 'hoax' after 90 minutes of search after it was received by the Police Control Room at 1230 hrs.

Following the call, bomb disposal squad, the dog squad, fire brigade and security personnel were rushed to the spot.

Police immediately cordoned off the area, vacated the multi-storey cinema hall before beginning search operations.

However, after more than one-and-a-half hours of search, nothing was found in the theatre premises and the call was declared a 'hoax'.
