Tungabhadra dam almost full; flood warning issued

Bellary, July 23 (UNI) The Tungabhadra Board (TB) authorites have issued flood warning to people residing on the banks of river Tungabhadra and near its canals as discharge from the Tungabhadra reservoir may increase any moment following the dam receiving good inflows and the water level fast reaching its full level.

Authorities have taken all precautionary measures to shift people to safer places in case of any emergency.

The water level in the reservoir stood at 1629 ft this afternoon as against its full level of 1633 ft. The inflow was 51,600 cusecs.
