TN CM announces solatium

Chennai, July 23 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu government today announced solatium of Rs five lakh each to the families of two soldiers killed in terrorist attacks.

An official release here said Chief Minister M Karunanidhi announced the solatium to the families of M Narayanan, who was killed, while guarding the Tripura border on November 21, 2005, and K Balakrishnan, while guarding a border post in the Jammu&Kashmir border on April 15, 2006.

While Mr Narayanan hailed from Kazukumalai village in Tuticorin district, Balakrishnan, hailed from Ragalapuram village in Dindugal district, the release added UNI KVV PK RN2028
