Sena to hold meeting on 'Hindutva': Uddhav

Thane, July 23 (UNI) Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray today declared that the Shiv Sena would hold an exclusive meeting in the city on ''Hindutva''.

He was speaking at the inaugural function of the 17th Thane Mayor Marathon in the city this morning. On the lines of the meeting held at Mumbai, the Shiv Sena will soon hold a meeting in Thane city to discuss the issue of Hindutva, he said.

Mr Thackeray said that the unity between the Sena and the BJP would last for ever.

He paid tribute to the two policemen who were lynched by a furious mob in Bhiwandi last month and also to those killed in the 7/11 Mumbai balsts.

He handed over an aid of Rs one lakh each to the kin of the deceased policemen.

Former Lok Sabha Speaker Manohar Joshi, Leader of the Shiv Sena in the State Legislative Assembly Ramdas Kadam, Thane Mayor Rajan Vichare, Thane Municipal Commissioner Sanjay Sethi, MLC Sanjay Kelkar and BJPs' Thane unit president Prabhakar Sawant also attended the inaugural function.
