Rural bank employees to demonstrate to press their demands
Lucknow, July 23 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank Employees will hold a demonstration here tomorrow to press their 11-point charter of demand, including pension and Provident Fund facilitie on a par with the employees of the Nationalised banks.
The employees and officiers would stage demonstration in front of the NABARD office here and would later send a memorandum to the Union Minister of state for Finance Pawan Bansal.
UP Gramin Bank Workers Organisation general secretary R K Tiwari said here today the demands also include implementation of the other allowances as agreed upon with the Central government earlier.
There are over 25,000 employees and officers in the Gramin banks in the state.
