PM sends best wishes to Prince

New Delhi, July 23 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has sent his best wishes to Prince, rescued this evening from a submersible tubewell in Kurukshetra in which he was trapped since Friday, and his family on his rescue.

The PM's message came soon after the operation to save Prince was completed this evening with the help of the jawans of the Indian Army.

Earlier in the day the Prime Minister had prayed for the speedy rescue and good health of the five-year-old and even offered to pay for his medical treatment.

The Haryana Government is making all efforts to rescue the boy and we will take full medical care of the boy on his rescue, a PMO release had said.

''The Prime Minister prays once again that the boy's unexpected trauma ends quickly,'' it said.

Efforts to pull out Prince from the 60-feet-deep hole of a submersible tubewell in Haldera village in Kurukshetra (Haryana) continued for nearly two whole days.

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, accompanied by local MP Naveen Jindal, visited the site and offered all assistance to rescue the boy.

The rescue was made after more than 48 hours since Prince, son of Ram Chander, a daily wage labourer, fell into the hole of the tubewell while playing with his friends on Friday evening.
