PM dares Jaswant to give name of 'mole', says not affraid of debate
New Delhi, July 23 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today dared former External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh to come out with the name of the person whom he has termed as a mole in the PMO leaking secret information and said the government was not afraid of a debate on any issue.
''If he (Jaswant Singh) has the decency and the courage, he should name the person who he is referring to. We are not afraid of any debate on any issue. Raising this issue only shows that the opposition has no real issue and is just seeking excuses,'' Dr Singh told mediapersons after attending an All Party meeting called by Lok Sabha speaker Somnath Chatterjee before the monsoon session starting tomorrow.
The Prime Minister was reacting to the query regarding Jaswant Singh's book 'Call for Honour' in which had said a mole in the PMO during the premiership of P V Narasimha Rao had let secret information on the country's nuclear programme pass out to an external agency.
