Chennai, July 23 (UNI) Asserting that the Sirudavur bungalow, where she used to stay was not owned by her or her close aide Sasikala, former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK Supremo J Jayalalithaa today warned of legal action against those levelling allegations that she had misappropriated the Dalit lands.

In a statement here, she said the bungalow was taken on rent and she used to stay there on and off.

She described as ''false and imaginary'', the allegations that she and Ms Sasikala had forcefully encroached the lands from the Dalits.

''There is not even an iota of truth in the charge'', she said and added if there was any doubt about the land, they should address it to the owner of the land.

''We have no links whatsoever in this regard'', she added.

Ms Jayalalithaa claimed that the agitation by the Dalits in this regard was stage-managed by Chief Minister and DMK President M Karunanidhi.

She also had a dig at him for raking up a non-issue during the budget session of the Assembly to embarass and prevent her from attending the House. ''But, I will not be cowed down by such acts'', she asserted.

''My hands are clean, I need not fear anyone'', the leader of the Opposition said and added that a section of the media owing allegiance to the ruling party was spreading falsehood to malign her goodwill and reputation among the people.

The AIADMK supremo said she would face such 'evil designs' legally and uphold the truth.

Condemning CPI(M) State Secretary N Varadharajan for levelling accusations against her without knowing the truth, Ms Jayalalithaa said she would take legal action against all those who were making such baseless charges.
