NDA to move adjournament motion on Mumbai blasts
New Delhi, Jul 23: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will move an adjournament motion on the recent bomb blasts in Mumbai in which nearly 200 people lost their lives and over 700 were injured, on the first day of the Monsoon session which begins tomorrow.
Talking to newspersons after an all-party meeting, convened by Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee, BJP parliament party spokesman V K Malhotra said the serial blasts were the failure of the government as despite prior information it failed to take any preventive action.
He also held the government responsible for the loss of lives of innocent people.
He said he preferred a discussion on the adjournament motion for which notice would be given in the morning itself.
If this was not accepted by the Speaker, it cannot be ensured that members would let the House run smoothly.
