Man held for smuggling leopard skins

Mangalore, July 23 (UNI) Police have arrested a man on the charge of smuggling leopard skins at Mullaje near Belthangady in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka.

Superintendent of Police S Dayanand told UNI that two leopard skins, worth Rs one lakh, a country-made gun and gun powder were seized from him last night.

The arrested was produced before a magistrate who remanded him in judicial custody, he added.
