Landis wins Tour de France, Hushovd claims last stage

PARIS, July 23 (Reuters) American Floyd Landis sealed his first Tour de France triumph after today's 20th and last stage won by Norway's Thor Hushovd on the Champs-Elysees.

Landis succeeds compatriot Lance Armstrong who ended his racing career last year after setting a record of seven consecutive wins in the most famous cycling race.

Yellow jersey holder Landis ended today's stage safely in the peloton.
