Kolkata experiences bright and sunny day today

Kolkata, Jul 23 (UNI) Kolkata experienced bright and sunny day today, providing much needed respite to people after last few day's heavy rains.

People thronged to multiplexes, Victoria Memorial and other entertainment centres to enjoy the sunday following heavy rainfall that almost flooded the city in waist-deep waters few days back.

The maximum temperature was recorded at around 32 degree Celsius while the minimum was 29 degree Celsius.

The relative humidity was 99 per cent.

The Met deparment forecast heavy downpour in the next 24 hours which is expected to be 86 mm.
