Indian foreign secretary Saran in Kathmandu
Kathmandu, July 23: Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran is in Kathmandu to attend a meeting of ambassadors of the SAARC countries.
Mr Saran, who arrived here yesterday, is accompanied by senior officials of the foreign ministry.
The Foreign Secretary will discuss with SAARC ambassadors about the preparation for the 14th SAARC Summit to be held in India.
Mr Saran, a former Indian ambassador to Nepal, is also expected to meet senior leaders and discuss about the current political situation of Nepal.
