I provided a corruption-free govt : Jaya
Chennai, July 23 (UNI) Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK Supremo J Jayalalithaa today said her government from 2001-2006 was corruption-free.
Denying the charge that the farm house at Sirudhavur on the city outskirts was owned by her and close-aide Sasikala and that the AIADMK had misappropriated Dalit lands in the area, Ms Jayalalithaa in a statement said, ''there was no corruption during the previous AIADMK rule.'' ''The AIADMK government had not committed any mistakes'', she said and added that she had provided a clean and corruption-free government, which had worked only for the welfare of the people''.
Ms Jayalalithaa said that the farm house, used by her, was only taken on rent and not owned by her.
