Hooda announces Rs two lakh for Prince

Chandigarh, July 23 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has announced a garnt of Rs two lakh for Prince, the five-year- old poor boy who was rescued by the army today from a 60-feet submersible well in which he lay trapped for 50 hours.

The Chief Minister also announced the boy will be given free medical aid.

''The prayers of millions of people both in India and abroad have been answered,'' Mr Hooda said when the news of the success of the rescue operation undertaken by the 65-Engineers was conveyed to him.

The Chief Minister also congraulated the army personnal and said ''the nation is proud of you.'' He also added a word of praise for the Kurukshetra district administration that provided assistance to the rescue teams.

Governor A R Kidwai who had prayed for the saftey of Prince also congratulated the army jawans involved in the operation.
