Hathway launches broadband internet services in Punjab
Chandigarh, July 23 (UNI) Hathway Cable and Datacom Pvt Limited, a part of the Rajan Raheja group and one of the largest Multi System Operators in India launched its Broadband Internet services based on revolutinary DOCSIS technology in Punjab today.
The company commenced its services in Chandigarh and Mohali and will move to the other cities of Punjab in the next phase, a company release here said.
Hathway's broadband expansion at Chandigarh will further strengthen the existing network with the state of art technology, which will provide the best of services to the subscribers. In the very first year of its operations, Hathway will upgrade the existing CATV services of operators catering to 80 per cent of Mohali and 40 per cent of Chandigarh thus enabling the cable operator to give all three services (CATV, Internet and telephony) to the consumer.
Apart from broadband internet services, Hathway is also planning to launch Digital CATV and voice services also which will make it a true triple play service provider.
Hathway is currently offering Digital Cable services in the cities of New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. Hathway is also in the advanced stage of setting up a digital H/E in Punjab, bringing a revolution in television viewing. This will give the cable operator a better alternative to the DTH services.
Hathway also has under its umbrella Cine Channel (CC), a movie based entertainment channel and I-TV, a dial-up interactive music channel that operaters like a juke box, the release added.
