Fast enters 4th day; 5 lawyers arrested

Dharwad, Karnataka, July 22 (UNI) The relay fast by members of the Dharwad Bar Association, in protest against the inordinate delay in starting civil works of the proposed circuit bench of the Karnataka High Court at WALMI near here, entered the fourth day today.

Police arrested five lawyers, including Bar President B D Hiremath, when they attempted to gherao Revenue Minister Jagadish Shettar. They blocked Mr Shettar's way by prostrating before his car.

The students of law college, who were supporting the agitation, staged rasta roko, disrupting vehicular traffic for some time.
