Chhattisgarh to give jobs to dependents of naxals' victims
Raipur, July 23 (UNI) The Chhattisgarh government has decided to provide employment to the dependents of every family whose breadwinner was killed in eight Naxalism-affected districts.
Official sources told UNI here today that the Secretary (Tribal and SC Development) even issued an order in this regard. The district collectors of Dantewara, Bastar, Rajnandgaon, Sarguja, Koriya, Jashpur, Kanker and Korba were directed to appoint such dependents on a priority basis in students' hostels and ashram schools.
Last week, rebels slew 33 tribals in an assault on a relief camp in Dantewara district. During a visit to the camp, Chief Minister Raman Singh assured jobs for the deceased's dependents.
