CARE to set up 300 bed hospital in Orissa

Bhubaneswar, Jul 23 (UNI) Hyderabad based CARE Hospital Group has proposed to set up a 300 bedded modern hospital in Orissa with research and telemedicine facilities.

A delegation from CARE hospital met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at his secretariat chamber last night and expressed the Group's desire to set up a hospital, during a presentation on the development of health care facilities in the state, particularly in the rural areas.

Official sources said the CARE Hospital Group also offered to provide health care facility at 25 District Headquarters Hospitals and 269 Village Health Centres in phases.

Mr Patnaik, while welcoming the proposal, assured all possible assistance to them for development of health care facilities in the state.

The Chief Minister advised the delegation to take up at least one District Headquarter Hospital and one Village Health Centre as model hospital in the initial stage.

State Chief Secretary Subash Pani and Health and Family Welfare Special secretary Rabi Narayan Senapati were also present during the presentation of the proposed health project by the CARE Hospital Group.
