Capt Gopinath receives eminent Entrepreneur Award

Chennai, July 23: Air Deccan Managing Director Capt G R Gopinath was conferred with the Dr K C G Verghese memorial Eminent Entrepreneur Award.

Capt Gopinath received the award from Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) Director Dr Baldev Raj at the graduation day ceremony of the Hindustan Group of Institutions, at suburban Padur, here last evening.

In his address, Dr Baldev Raj said the whole world was looking at India for the fast breeder technology for nuclear power generation.

The Indian scientists and Engineers mastered this technology through continuous research and hardwork.

He exhorted the young graduates to have icons like Dr M Viswaswarayya and Dr Homi Bhabha as their role models to achieve their goal in the life.

Speaking after receiving the award, Capt Gopinath said every youth of this country could become a successful entrepreneur if they develop an ambition to succeed followed by hardwork and strength to face the challenges.

About 900 students received their degrees at the function.
