Bus crash kills 22 in Nepal

KATHMANDU, July 23 (Reuters) At least 22 people were killed and seven others wounded when a bus veered off a road in the hills of eastern Nepal today, an official said.

The accident took place at Jalbire, 50 km east of the national capital, Kathmandu.

Road crashes are common in the impoverished Himalayan kingdom where over-crowded buses run on ill-maintained hill roads.
